HI,
I am looking for some software to be able to parse ascii files. I need to be able to manipulate the data, and maybe populate into a database.
Anything like this?

can't remember the name but isn't there an archive file format like .zip or tar but with extra data added so if you loose part of the file you can rebuild the rest of it
