Hello i just tried to set a programs priority from low to normal but it keeps switching back to low does anyone know how to lock priority settings?

I just had a quick question I just upgraded from a p4 1.8@2.53 to a 2.26@2.58 as you can see the 2.26 is a dissapointment. my question is has anybody actually been able to clock higher after burning in their new cpu?...
