very very few people under 170 have knock out power. is GSP pillow fisted? fact is any time BJ lands on someone clean they visibly look hurt.. penn wasnt able to nail diego clean often because unlike diego promised he wouldnt "just scrap." he backed away the whole time after getting dropped with BJ's first punch.. again BJ has really good power for a LW.. the only guys who hit harder are gomi krazy horse guillard and probably alvarez or hansen

I dont think Eddie has better boxing than Diego. At least not significantly. More power maybe but he's pretty much a straight brawler on the feet with little defense.. I mean when Nick freakin' Thompson can dominate a boxing match with you you're not a very good boxer (yes i know that fight was ages ago but Alvarez fights exactly the same way he just avoids getting range-fucked like that by fighting at LW instead of WW).. Diego doesnt have great defense either but he pretty much dominated the standup against Fiorvanti (a good boxer) and mixes it up with kicks and knees way more effectively.. Honestly the only advantages i see for Eddie is sheer punching power and wrestling (and even that isnt that big of a deal because Diego has better BJJ and GnP)

Cup is a new twist to the saga of club power. It all started with Cristiano Ronaldo of course and the fact that if Portugal fail to make it to South Africa he will suffer from gloom and a lack of motivation that will affect his club performances for the rest of this season poor chap..Diego Forlan and Kun Agüero to be representing them on the media stage but who may have to settle for losing one of them to gloom and doom

I'm afraid Diego's dreams of being a champion are over.. There was nothing Diego could do.. Of course even there Penn's superior hands speed and power would have probably won but that was basically the only way for Diego to contemplate a victory.. Of course ideally we'd see Alvarez get a shot at it

BJ and probably Kenny Florian are probably(BJ for sure) better technical strikers but as far as pure power goes Hansen and Kawajiri have more pure power than any LW in the UFC(except maybe Gomi who isn't that relevant at this point).. Also...dude Alvarez has a great ground game...His standup is actually overrated besides his pure power which is the best in the LW division and his ground is very underrated especially his defense

Kenny Florian vs Eddie Alvarez- I've never seen Alvarez fight so I'm opted to go with Florian on this one.. He doesn't really have the knock out power that you'd like but he gets the job done and for the most part is a tough fight for everyone he's faced

Frankie Edgar vs Gilbert Melendez I think he has the edge in both striking and ground game. Kenny Florian vs Eddie Alvarez Hard to say right now I think Florian would fear Alvarez power too much but if he can get some wins going and forget about BJ maybe Florian could beat him.. Hansen vs Diego Sanchez I hate to pick Diego over Hansen but I think he would keep him back with his reach and striking Sherk vs Aoki If Sherk goes for the LnP gameplan he would beat Aoki

Alvarez(great striking/great wrestling).. He moves well kicks well but he doesn't have a lot of power. Florian has way more power and his standup is lightyears ahead of aoki

post33815178] Caol Uno just lost to a low level UFC Henchmen in Spencer Fisher. JZ Hansen Alvarez Sakurai and Ribeiro all built themselves up by beating low level competition in spectacular fashion.. None of them have fought anywhere near the level of somebody like Kenny Florian Diego Sanchez or BJ Penn.. BJ's on record as saying Gomi is one of/if not the hardest puncher he's ever faced! Power in both hands- good wrestling....What's not to like?
