I have used Burco redi cuts for a spotter mirror replacement and have had no problems. They make replacement mirror glass cuts for nearly every mirror out there.. As a side note Ford does sell their spotter mirror but it is upwards of $40. The Burco cut ran me I think $25..

I walked out to my car the other day and noticed a huge tire scuff on my drivers side front bumper.. Of course there was no note so I went on a CSI mission around base looking for a lifted truck with red paint on its' tires [http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=index.jsp].. The damage isn't that bad and if the driver left me a note I would have kept it hush hush and just dealt with payments man to man and never involved insurance or police.. Good luck with replacing your mirror.

Also note that they are activated by turning on your heated rear window. Turn this on and feel the mirror glass for signs of warmth!

From the Bentley manual: Insert thin pry tool (screwdriver) between bottom mirror edge and housing and carefully pry out mirror glass.. Remove heating element harness (if applicable) Install new glass into position by pressing firmly until it snaps into place Side note: Where did you find glass? The drivers side glass on my M is all browned out but all I can find is the full mirror..

Simply remove the interior mirror triangles ( where your controls are ) and there will be 3 torques screws securing the mirror to the car.. Its the same on both side. Note: When you pop off the interior trim pieces pop them off from the bottom and slide them up

hey Crew parked on a public street in Bankstown my wife came back to the car and noticed the driver side mirror missing ! she looked around and saw the mirror about 10m away from the car the mirror/glass itself was shattered and the mirror housing completely cleanly ripped off from the car itself ! fckers didnt even leave a note I was wondering if anyone had a spare driver side mirror for sale ? Ive checked ebay and found one for $190 USD + shipping

it should be like the E46's. tilt the mirror up as far as it will go.. get a pick or something similar and slide the ring to the opposite side of where it's currently at.. NOTE: turn your key on for 5-10 minutes to allow the mirrors to heat up (the side mirrors are constantly heated)

Here's a pic of the back of the mirror and a pic of the mirror housing removed making it easier to get at that spring.. A note to those who may attempt this don't press down on that spring too much or you'll never be able to move the mirror again

Changed Side View mirror

Backing out of my garage in a particular hurry about a week ago I hit the driver side view mirror hard enough on the side of the garage door frame and it broke a chunk of the plastic housing off the mirror.. Fortunately the glass did not break because after calling around I found out from Sewell that Lexus now sells the housing seperately from the glass for ~250 vs the $570 I was quoted by my dealer for having to buy the whole assembly including the glass.. 9) Basically reverse 1-7. Of note however: a) When you reconnect the lock and handle linkages make sure the cable housing slots into the notch on the door
