A little off-topic - but people could consider volunteering as an ombudsman (sort of a patient advocate) with your state dept of aging to keep an eye out for cruelty/neglect in local nursing homes

I just visited a retirement home today.. One was so thrilled to get a hug or have someone talk to her she kept asking when I'd be back.. Whether you're childless or not chances are you'll end up in some kind of old folks home..

I'd suggest the community make an exception for this girl change the community's bylaws or simply purchase the family's home so they can move.. Purchasing the family's home is probably the best course of action if they don't want to change the nature of their community..and maybe even makes them look like nice people someone might want to have as neighbors

At least I do fine at work and home. It does suck for stuff like GTO meets for example where we go into a restaurant or bar to eat.. One things for sure...I could certainly understand someone committing suicide because of it

It would be very much like the daughter bringing home an embezzler.. Or she could bring home a tax evader who is otherwise a top notch kind of guy.. It comes down to someone who has little respect for the laws believes he is above the law - that laws are for the little people other folks or people stupid enough to respect and abide by laws

the foolhardy decision to illegally break into and enter someone else's home in the wee hours of the morning.. What other purpose could he have had to enter someone's home illegally if not with the intention of ill will? QFT! Was the homeowner supposed to ask "Excuse me people illegally breaking ind entering into my home how old are you?" "Oh my you're only 16? Please help yourself to my belongings..
