i play a couple instruments - mostly guitar and mandolin and i've been playing a lot of old time and other traditional music in the past couple of years.. playing 5 string banjo is like thinking in circles and it's really demanding but good mental exercise

It is time to move North out though and bring in a genuine opener moving Watson down to 6 and allowing a more "traditional" form of opener to make his mark

+1 for everything Gibbs said excellent all round advice. I have played guitar for years and lately have been playing with a few realy good trad players in a local session.. Best advice....If you dont know a tune dont join in...yes I know it feels funny sitting there not playing but train your ear first

Matched my dad likes traditional as he used to play marching snare in school and started playing in the 70's when matched wasn't that popular.. It's kind of hard to play metal with traditional grip :/ Edit: And other questions.. I play heel up when playing double bass heel down when doing single

because he has been playing like a blind old woman on a wheelchair in recent games.. All those English players you named are just like Ben Alnwick - no one cares about them and they never get playing time even if they do rotate on the subs bench

I think the biggest problem of both LUG and Decipher were that they were quite "traditional" RPGs trying to emulate a setting that has player characters and conventions that don't readily fit into that traditional mold - hyper-skilled "starting" characters chain of command weapons that vaporize people on a hit etc
