Tough question to answer really. I would say he combined various styles of silat to make it.. Realize there are hundreds of styles of silat out there.While it is direct and effective I seem to find a lot of awkward transitions in there

I've been studying a form of silat for a while. Right now I've been doing bjj for a few months and I can definitely see where training in silat has helped me for example controlling the arms or wrists
