I hate to spoil your illusion but the Obama Adminstration is not solidly behind Chairman Mao. This myth may come from Obama's following of Robert Mugabe who does have Maoist leanings.. Obama has often quoted the teachings of Robert Mugabe on economic matters and perhaps this is why Anita Dunn the White House communications director mentions Mao as one of the people she admires over George Washington or George Bush (either of them).. Mugabe printed hundreds of trillions of Zimbabwean dollars causing hyperinflation and harassed and intimidated such political opponents.. and the fact that President Obama does admire Chairman Mao (he has referenced Mao when trying to shutdown opposition news outlets) he is not a true Maoist

Olaf I don't think any of us are saying that Mao didn't say anything that was good or accurate or helpful but that overall he was not a wonderful leader and he caused the death of many millions of people.. Hitler did wonderful things for the German economy in the 30s but OVERALL he and his legacy are (rightfully) reviled by most people in the world today..
