one of my roommates and good friends is Veitnamese and the women in her family are not allowed to do certain things when in Vietnam like the men are.. Kudo to Algerian women .. Huynh Thi Nga 25 runs the family-owned Saigon Motors and is an expert mechanic.. At home though the Vietnamese wife is known as the "minister of the interior " while her husband is the "foreign minister." In practice that means that he brings his paychecks home to her and she dispenses pocket money to him

While there is no express legal bar the election of a non-Anglican British Prime Minister such a situation would be constitutionally akward given the prime minister's role in appointing senior members of the Church of England.. So little attention is paid for trying to alleviate or solve the conditions that lead a women to consider abortion.. Conditions of poverty lack of education lack of family/community support etc.. The Pregnant Women's Support Act would have offered women funding and services to have them consider alternatives such as adoption.. For instance it would have expanded the adoption tax credit it would have required family planning organization to offer adoption as an option it would have provided a 1-800 number for women to call for pregnancy counseling

In my own life I have seen friends and family convert to the life issue because I or someone else took the time to engage them in a conversation about the issue in a respectful and caring manner.. What about the Pregnant Women's Support Act did you not like? I personally liked family planning agencies being required to offer women adoption as an option

This is nothing to do with that any more than using contraception to control your family is about not respecting God's will.. We have choices and information as women these days perhaps life was in some ways easier when we didn't have them but they do exist and that gives us freedom in one sense but also a difficult responsibility.. You sound to me as if you are in deep deep pain and you are blaming yourself for the fact that you loved your family and chose to do what was best for them as you felt it at the time.. (And if God exists I can't believe He/She minds women doing the best they can for their children which is what you did)

I would of course say that for a man to be a cabinet minister and have four young children is extraordinarily demanding (as a matter of interest she is the only minister in that position).. Equally I hardly think it's breaking news that many working women feel a greater pull from their children than working men particularly when they're aged between 5 - 11. She has given birth 4 times in the past 11 years during which time she has also been an MP and latterly a Minister

Women feel judged by someone - whether it is their family the inlaws their husband or the media.. Then again you can probably find a Priest or a Minister who preaches against homosexuality as well - as well as those who feel that they have the right to be both gay and religious.. Similarly there are those who figure that women are inferior to men in every religion and those who consider themselves feminists in every religious group
