Make the basement smell like you want the clothes to smell! Get a small potpouri pot and burn watered potpouri or watered essential oil in it constantly in the basement until the basement smels good!....Or get a squirt bottle mix 1/3 downy (or your fav fabric softener) and the rest water spray the clothes as they are drying! Two additional benefits are that as BT said you can sweeten the smell of your home with a steamy potpouri and secondly you can shut off your water heater between showers and save money

I think your correct-candle warmer. About 15 yrs ago they did make a potpourri warmer that was quite similar. You added water to the potpouri before you warmed it
