This is such a hard stage when they are so close in age.. From your thread title I initially assumed the "big kid" was much much older.. Strategies that worked for us beyond babywearing: * letting the older sibling play with special "big kid" toys up on the bed * using a baby gate or play yard to separate play areas (I have even put the older one in the play yard with "cool big kid toys" * getting out of the house so they have plenty of room to do their own thing I went through

fatter thinner dumber cooler etc I used to have really cute cheeks when I was a kid but now they're gone.. When my mom told me about this I was a little shocked at my little-self lol

But that's just because there was no Internet widely available when I was a kid. I still read at least 2 or 3 novels (mostly science fiction and fantasy) and 2 or 3 nonfiction books (mostly history) a month
