As a Mother of a Son who is a skateboarder (who also loved to skateboard too when she was young) my opinion of how the law officer handled the skateboarder and the situation is that she was wrong.. I do agree that the young man was out of line to be skateboarding where he was and he had a lot of audacity to do it in front of the officer- but I believe that she aught to have simply given him a stern warning to leave or she could have cited him along with a warning

I agree with Sam Champion's message. The young man was wrong to "flaunt the law". However skateboarder or not (and I love skateboarders) the police officer was wrong

When I first saw the video clip of the skateboarder being "shoved" by the police officer in the park I was shocked.. They are not "hazing' in the locker room or pumping up on steroids like so many of our other young athletes of today.. I am so proud of my son and his friends and I think that they are a fine example of todays young people

While at Skateboarder Ben even had his own 'signature' skate shoe when one of the shoe companies produced a skateboard photographer shoe series for about six of the top skateboard photographer - he got to design the details - including a Celtics green and gray color scheme..
