I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and I'm trying to install DirectFB 1.4.3. I can do it with no problems by downloading the sources from the directfb website and installing it by hand

Hi I was trying to use Links2 in graphics mode on a virtual console and it ran a few errors stating that I have not configured the mouse type gpm couldn't be opened can't open display "null" and directfb: unsupported color depth
