How to use BoardTracker's search...
Search: (search term)
Define a list of search words seperated by space. Search result will show all the threads that contain ALL the terms you specified in the search.
word means any word which has the same natural language root/stem of word (such as word, words, wording, worded etc).
wildca* means any word beginning with wildca (such as wildcard, wildcat etc).
"this phrase" requires the exact phrase to show (* is not allowed inside phrases).
Examples:
1. "web server" - searches all threads with the exact phrase "web server"
2. ca* - searches all threads with words beginning with ca (such as car/cat/cafe/careful..)
3. cook books - searches all threads with cook/cooking/cooker/cooks... and books/book/..
Search for: (Thread/Authors search)
Threads: Searches threads matching your search term. Ordering either by Date (newest to oldest) or relevancy.
Authors: Searches for Authors (Board Members) of the different boards matching your search term. (Time-scope is irrelevant for that search.) Matching search term with the Name, Homepage or Instant messenger handle (ICQ, AOL, Yahoo or MSN) of the Author
Order by: (Date or Relevancy)
The order by which results are sorted. Date shows the results from the newest to the oldest where Relevancy shows more relevant, stronger matching threads/authors first.
Time-scope:
How far back in time the system searches. Time-scope is irrelevant for Authors search.
